S/S 2012 HAUTE PICK: TUMBLER & TIPSY

Professional-ice-skater-turned-designer Michael Kuluva brought a very wearable disco glam to the runway at Sunset Gower Studios with the latest S/S ‘12 collection for Tumbler & Tipsy. Full of mix and match basics, the collection was perfect for the glamour girl on the go.

Shimmering sequins, simple styles, and lively splashes of aquas, silvers, purples and neons complimented the collection’s mostly beige palette. Cheeky accessories such as neon colored cork chain necklaces added an extra dash of fantasy. Evening items such as the sequin cape and beige poncho helped create more grown up looks, while still maintaining the collection’s youthful spirit.

Kuluva managed to masterfully design a collection that updates disco for the hip chick. The silhouettes and separates work together to create high wearability that can easily be dressed up or down. The S/S 2012 Tumbler & Tipsy collection harks back to the nightlife of the late 70s, leaving behind the kitsch for a chic comfortability.
